The history of Warli Art goes back to the 10th century A.D., the times when adorning the walls with stories and tales were the only means to communicate folklore. It is a ritualistic art form, which talks about real events, symbolizes the circle of life, and signifies the harmony and the balance of the universe.
All Lanterns are sold out in Lions Pragati Prakalp. Now only Akhand Jyot Diya’s are available, available at Rs 100/- per pc. The painting is done by accomplished tribal artists from Jawhar.
