AatmaNirbharBharat Abhiyan- When India speaks of becoming self-reliant, it doesn’t advocate a self-centered system. In India’s self-reliance; there is a concern for the whole world’s happiness, cooperation, and peace.
Pragati Prakalp and Lions Clubs District 3231A3 arrange a charity sale of Warli art decorations this Diwali season.
The history of Warli Art goes back to the 10th century A.D., the times when adorning the walls with stories and tales were the only means to communicate folklore. It is a ritualistic art form, which talks about real events, symbolizes the circle of life, and signifies the harmony and the balance of the universe.
All Lanterns are sold out in Lions Pragati Prakalp. Now only Akhand Jyot Diya’s are available, available at Rs 100/- per pc. The painting is done by accomplished tribal artists from Jawhar.
I would like to mention the names of Lion members who have actively supported the above project.
Lion Shambhubhai Trivedi, Lion Prashant Patil, Lion Nitin Purkar, Lion Smita Chaudhari, Lion Archana Patodia, Lion Umesh Joshi, Lion Sangeeta Khanna, Lion Neeru Duggal, Lion Urvi Registrar, Lion Anjali Mestry, Lion Shraddha More & Lion Kirit Doshi.
After seeing the success of the project, I would advocate the slogan associated with our fine NGO, Where there is a need, there is a Lion.
You can purchase the Diya’s from this link. Proceeds from the sale shall go to the tribal artisans. So share this with friends and family and order now to support a good cause.
