Congratulations to the Lions Club of Dahisar and Lions Club of Dahanu for the Dialysis machine donation at Daulatbanoo Merwan Khodadad Irani Dialysis center, Dahanu.
The kidneys filter your blood by removing waste and excess fluid from your body. This waste is sent to the bladder to be eliminated when you urinate. Dialysis performs the function of the kidneys if they’ve failed.
Dialysis is a treatment that filters and purifies the blood using a machine. This helps keep your fluids and electrolytes in balance when the kidneys can’t do their job.
Dialysis patients are all too familiar with the routine of their treatments, go to the clinic, get weighed, have their temperature and blood pressure taken, get stuck with needles (unless the patient has catheter access), have tubes connected from their access to the dialyzer and then sit in the chair until it is time to go home.
Now imagine that for this process the patients need to travel with a relative to distant areas in Vasai and Mumbai to get the treatment. Patients staying in satellite areas like Dahanu would face this issue of traveling and spending almost half a day for this tiresome but necessary process.
Congratulations to the Lions Club of Dahisar and Lions Club of Dahanu for the Inauguration of the donated Dialysis Machine at Daulatbanoo Merwan Khodadad Irani Dialysis center, Dahanu. This super Twinning project between these two clubs was Inaugurated by Dr. Khwaja Muddasir, 1st VDG, District 3231A3 in presence of Esteem Members of clubs.
Dr. Khwaja Muddasir, 1st Vice District Governor congratulated both the clubs and said it was due to generous donors like D- Link who have helped fund approximately 8.20 lakhs for the machine. 6 dialysis machines were present in the center and with the 7th machine, it has really given local patients relief and come in a blessing in disguise.
D-Link is taking great efforts to reach out to those on the breadline and located at remote locations with limited or no access to healthcare services. Providing quality healthcare for the deprived is one of the key focus areas of their CSR program. With this commitment, D-Link recently sponsored a dialysis machine for Daulatbanoo Merwan Khodadad Irani Dialysis Centre located in Dahanu.
Kudos to Project Coordinator DC Twinning Lion Saraswati Sankar for arranging CSR Contribution, Dahanu President Tejas Ponda and Dahisar President Lion Suneet Gandhi for excellent execution of this Much needed Project in the Satellite area.
