Clubs of Region 6, District 3231A3 conduct Mega Medical camp in Mumbai

October Service Week is when all Lions across India conduct service activities across India & Region 6 of District 3231A3 were not behind. They organized a Mega Medical camp on 8th October, 2021, Friday between 9 am to 4 pm at Borivali Fire Brigade station, Link road, opposite Don Bosco School, Borivali west.

The Medical camp included

  • Eye checkup camp.
  • Diabetes check
  • ECG
  • Lungs pressure check. (much needed for fire officers specially)
  • Blood pressure check.
  • Free consultation by Doctors team of Apex hospital.

Approx. 200 fire station officers and their family members benefited due to this camp.

Clubs of Zone-18 distributed snacks to all beneficiaries as well as all the Lion members totaling to approximately 250 people.

Tree plantation was also held at the venue by zone 18 clubs.

The 4 focus area of lion’s international  were covered-

  • Hunger
  • Diabetes
  • Environment
  • Sight first.

It was a great project mela attended and appreciated by all the senior officers of fire station. The entire DG team led by District Governor Lion Dr. Khwaja Mudassir as Chief guest, 1stVDG Lion Hemantraj Sethia & 2nd VDG Lion Ajay S Havelia visited the camp & blessed the camp with their gracious presence as Guests of honors. .

All participant club Members attended this Mega Medical Check-up Camp in large number with very much enthusiasm. All guests were felicitated with different kind of plants.
The backbone of the camp were Region chairperson, Ln Vijay Khetan along with Zone chairpersons Zone -16 Lion Kiran Parihar, Zone -17 Lion Nisha Vaidhya & Zone -18 Lion Jaiprabha Sethia. The project was coordinated by Lion Bhavna Kodiyal.
