Diwali is a festival of lights and one of the major festivals celebrated in India.
Lions Club Vasai Rd Manickpur & Mohhamddi Charitable trust with the district theme of Serve with Smile came together on this festival by motivating exceptional service this Diwali. The venue was Patel Farm House, Pelhaar, Sopara Phata, Nallasopara east which in Maharashtra, India. The members of both the organizations met at 3 pm.
The organizations planned a Women’s empowerment project by distributed 5 sewing machines to the needy women so they could become financially stable.
Wockhardt Foundation donated medicines to Mohammadi Charitable Trust which cost approximately Rs. 90,000.
Essentials were also distributed to the needy which included foodgrains, sweets, rangoli, diyas, oil, and sarees. The total beneficiaries in the project were around 255.
Eminent dignitaries from Lions Clubs, District 3231A3 were present. The Chief Guest of the project was District Governor Lion Shashikant Modh. Second VDG Lion Khwajja Mudassir with spouse Lion Nayana Mudassir, District Cabinet Secretary Lion Ajay Havelia, Region Chairperson Lion Bhavesh Panchal, Zone Chairperson Lion Rajeev Sawhney, and Club Secretary Lion Vanita.
Boisar constituency MLA Respected Rajesh Patil, Senior leader of BVA Kashinath Patil, Vice-mayor Saagir Daange were also present.
