District Lion Lady auxiliary District 3231A3 is the group of Lion ladies from all the clubs of district from Bandra to Talasari almost 135+ clubs. This year under the great leadership of District Governor Lion Hemanthraj Sethia Lion Bhavna Patel was appointed as a District Lion Lady Chairperson of the year 2022-23.
Under the able leadership of LLA Chairperson Lion Bhavna Patel along with the 1st Lady of Distric L Jaiprabha Sethia as a Chief Guest first Lion Lady Auxiliary Event आया सावन झुमके of the year was planned & executed successfully on 20th of August 2022. They had been preparing for this day almost since 2 months now with a vision of bringing all the ladies from various clubs together under the banner of Lion Lady auxiliary for District 3231A3 for full on fellowship & Need based service to society.
The venue Golden Leaf Banquet Malad was the best choice and 300 + lion ladies attended the event with almost 15 VIP’s & Guest from the district.
The team had organised Theme based Dance Performances of SAWAN from various regions of the district . The colour ful Lehariya dress code for sawan was well appreciated by all the ladies.
Event was inaugurated by Lion Tushar Mehta spouse of ID endorsee Lion Pankaj Mehta. Guests of honor were 2nd Vice District Governor Lion Saraswati Sankar and 1st Vice District Governor’s spouse Lion Preeti Havelia.
The special invitees were from multiple district 3231 Secretary/Treasurer PDG Lion Armaity Cooper & First lady of MD 3231 Lion Dr. Nayana Mudassir.
Event was inaugurated with classical Kathak dance prayer song by Lion Dr Rekha Desai. Group of lion ladies from the District Micro team performed on Traditional folk sawan songs as well.
Special Radha Krishna dance show by Krishna- Vatsal with Dahi handi mahotsav was amazing Lion Gwen Lawrence along with her team performed a fantastic musical Show.
For Special needbased project as a responsibility towards the society, with support of Lions club of Mumbai Corporate the stall was allowed to sell the products created by the students of V D Indian Society for Mentally challenged. Excellent response received from our Lion ladies and good variety of beautiful “Big wonders” products were purchased by them. Kudos to the efforts and initiative by Lion Pinky Rajgaria.
VDIS or ‘Vallabhdas Dagara Indian Society for the Mentally Retarded’ was established by Dr. A.V. Mehta, in 1973 to enhance the lives of the mentally challenged. Over the years about 8200 students have been benefited from the various services offered by the institute like early detection, intervention, training, education, remedial- training, vocational rehabilitation, Job placements etc.
Scented sticks – Agarbatti sets given to all 301+ ladies as a return gifts to help them & hand made artificial buckets to Felicitate our valuable Guests & VIP’s. So many ladies contributed by purchasing good items from the stall this way helping the special children.
Another Service project announcement was the requirement of 10,000 newborn baby clothes sets by public health centres by District Chairperson Women Empowerment Lion Smita Chaudhari. Confirmations were received from many lion lady auxiliary of the clubs for approximately 5000+ sets.
The participants enjoyed Mouth watering delicious food with sawan fast & Jain items.
As a Special Attraction Event was attended by the two great Celebrities Nivedita Basu – the head of content strategy and business alliances at Atrangi and Actor Sangeeta Kapure appreciating the full jam pack show with 301+ ladies with Needbased Service project for Special Children & New born needs. Thanks to Lion Bharti Chhabria for inviting the guests. They enjoyed every moment of the event and requested Lion Bhavna Patel to invite them in future events as they enjoyed the spirit of lions & great service towards society.
Dist Lion lady Chairperson Lion Bhavna Patel was awarded by the District Governor Lion Hemantraj Sethia with the Prestigious International Pin of International President Lion Brian Sheehan.
The Maximum attendance award went to Region- 5 RC Leo Lion Shashank Maheshwari, Region Coordinator- Lion Rekha Shah for 65 Lion Ladies attendance.
The Maximum Attendance Zone was given to zone-9 again Lion Rekha Shah.

She gave credit for the sucess to the entire working committee, the full Micro team, Dance Performers from different regions & last but not the least all the lovely beautiful ladies of the district.
