A proud and inspiring journey reached a milestone today, 19th June 2026, as the new building of Shrimati Durgadevi Kumar Science & Commerce Girls College, Vajreshwari, Bhiwandi, was officially inaugurated.

What began with the Bhumi Pujan on 9th April 2024 has now transformed into a modern educational infrastructure, completed in just over two years. This achievement reflects vision, dedication, and collective effort towards empowering the next generation of young women through education.
Built at a project cost of ₹4.5 crores, the institution’s new building stands as a symbol of progress and opportunity, offering improved facilities and an enhanced academic environment for students.
This transformative project was made possible with the support of the CSR Partner – Smt. Durgadevi Kumar Trust, Mumbai, showcasing how purposeful philanthropy can create lasting social impact.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Priyanka Chaturvedi, who attended as the Chief Guest and Inaugural Officer, adding significance to this landmark event.
A key role in coordinating this impactful initiative was played by Lion Dr. Vikas Patole, representing Lions Clubs International through the Lions Club of Mumbai Adityam Gold, reinforcing the role of service organizations in nation-building through education.

From laying the foundation stone to opening the doors of learning, this journey stands as a testament to what collaboration between trusts, educational institutions, and service leaders can achieve.
