After Covid-19, the world is facing another big challenge, and it’s nothing else than Hunger.
Some glimpses of Feed The Hunger Project a great twinning project between Lions Club of Lokhandwala Regina & my home club Lions Club of Link Rd. Malavani. Indeed a great project, kudos to the spirit of members of both clubs.
150+ food packets of Rice, Dal, Roti, Sabji & packed water were distributed. Ln. Manjit Chandhok mam was the backbone of this project, but we got to see the dariya dil side of Mr. Chandok sir too, when the food got over he arranged pattice for those who passed by too. Those who didn’t have masks were given masks too. Vegetable vendors, maids, rickshaw drivers, Swiggy delivery guys, Mumbai Police, you name we got an opportunity to Serve all. Great planned & executed project by President Ln. Alexander Gounder & Ln. Sheela Goyal mam.
A big Thanks to Guest of Honors Ln. TS Anand Sir & Ln. Dr. Ananth Vaidyanathan for their presence.
The icing on the cake was the presence of the Chief Guest PID Ln. Raju Manwani sir, whose presence motivated us all.
Suprise was the presence of PR & Marketing Head (2019-20) Ln. Sangeeta Verma mam, Past Leo District President Leo Parth Parekh (Leo Club of Dahanu) & Leo Govind Ray from Leo Club of Carter Rd. who also visited the project.
We just tried to do it for the 1st time, inspired by Ln. Manjit Chandhok mam who is been doing Langar Project, for years now. This was an idea just planned a day back & the project is surely gonna inspire more club leaders to Serve & make earth Hunger Free, 1 beneficiary at a time.
Time to Make a BIG DIFFERENCE & show We Care.
Lion Dr. Ananth Vaidyanathan daily shared with us creative images about the hunger on Mission Hunger, indeed has been leading the Mission of Hunger Free India & inspired us to be part of this noble Mission selflessly.
