Covid-19 Relief project was the need of the hour in Sri Lanka which was informed by the local government. Hence donation of face maks & PPE kits were planned by the Lions Club of Colombo Leads, DISTRICT 306 C1.
Lions Club of Colombo Leads just in months of its installation dated 16th August 2020 conducted the marathon service.
1,000 Face Masks & 15 PPE Kits were donated to the DIG Colombo to be used by the Police Officers who are on duty in lockdown areas as reported by Lion Kalum Chinthaka

DISTRIBUTION OF DRY RATIONS
300 Packs (150 Packs by LCCL) of Dry Rations were handed over to the Divisional Secretary, Thimbirigasyaya to distribute among quarantined, daily wage-earning families in Colombo.
All the packs were distributed to Kalipullawatta with the support of OIC, Police Station Dematagoda.
SL Army gave their support to the project by distributing the packs to the relevant area.

Lion Mahendra Amarasuriya, Past International President, Lions Clubs International also shared his good wishes to the club saying “Congratulations for organizing a very meaningful project during Sri Lanka’s 2nd Wave of the Corona Pandemic. Please continue with your exceptional work in this connection.”
